Welcome to our 2018-19 classroom website!
Just in case you were wondering what our day looks like... below is our daily schedule!
9:00- My homeroom class switches with Mrs. Bailey's class to work on Math! Her class comes back with me for Reading/Language Arts.
9:00-9:45- Shared Reading- we work on a story together, sometimes as a whole group, and other times as partners or 1:1 with the teacher.
9:45-10:15- Writing- We will be working on different "crafts" with writing. This may be adding specific details like adjectives, or working on our "writer's voice" to capture our readers. Capitalization and punctuation are a skill we will work on all year, so please stress this at home also!
10:15-11:00- Centers- Students will be rotating twice a day through centers. These include Meet with the Teacher, Read to Self, Listen to Reading, and Work with Words. We have been practicing how to transition through these centers and what our behavior should look like while we work.
The afternoon includes the same structure, but in a different order. This schedule is for my homeroom class.
12:15-1:00: Shared Reading

1:40-2:30: Specials
2:30-3:15 Centers
